TAKS RETESTING
Students who need to pass the ELA TAKS test this month, remember there are tutorials in the library every Tuesday and Thursday after school. Please plan to attend and pass this test!
HOMECOMING MUMS
Students: tomorrow there will be no mums delivered to classes. If you have a mum dropped off in the front office it is your responsibility to come and pick it up.
HOSA
HOSA members: the deadline to bring your dues and forms to be in HOSA is this Friday, October 19th.
HOMECOMING DANCE
Homecoming Dance is Saturday, October 20th, at the FAAC from 7pm to 10pm.
Remember to wear black and white… we’re BRINGIN’ IT BACK OLD SCHOOL!
Tickets are on sale during lunch in the cafeteria for $8… they will be $10 at the door.
Important: If you are bringing a date they must be a current BHS student.
Also, homecoming t-shirts are on sale during lunch this week and are $10 each.
RODEO TEAM
We are hosting a rodeo out at the Wendy Ryan Arena in
Saginaw, off of 820, this Friday (7pm), Saturday (8pm), and Sunday (2pm).
There is a concession stand and a silent auction… so come and support your Birdville Rodeo Team.
THEATRE MURDER MYSTERY PARTY
People who signed up for the Theatre Murder Mystery Party: You need to turn in your $10 to Mr. Williamson AKA the Theatre Teacher (in Drama Room 1 in the band hall).

VolleyballCatch a volleyball at Friday’s Pep Rally and use it toget in free to Friday’s big volleyball game against Boswell. A win will place the Lady Hawks into a three-way tie for first place!!! Come Support Volleyball tomorrow at 5:30.
Guitar Hero Club Come and play a fun game. First meeting next Thursday at 3:30 to 4:30. We encourage all grade levels to come, even faculty. It’s a fun game, and there will be challenges to go along with game play and every week there will be challenges. Mr. Hayes classroom – D202.
Bowling TeamTryouts next Monday held at
Brunswick zone off of Rufe Snow. Try out fee is $15 for 9 games.

There will be a tailgate party in the FAAC parking lot this Friday for the big homecoming game against Boswell.For $5 you can get a burger, chips, cookie, and a drink… And even better you’ll be fueled up and ready to roll at supporting the hawks as they prepare to dominate Boswell!!!!!!

Swimming
The Mighty Hawk Swim Team will have their first swim meet of the year, the Keller Relays, this Saturday at the Keller Natatorium. Swimming begins at 10:00 AM. Go Hawks!

Attention swimmers:Meet behind the school in the traffic circle t 8:15 in the morning to board the bus for the meet in Keller the bus leaves at 8:30 with or with out you!!
Students
Now through next Thursday, DECA will be selling spirit chain links.Each link is .25 cents. The sprit chains will be displayed in the window across from the cafeteria… until the homecoming pep rally. At the pep rally the winning class will be announced. The class with the longest spirit chain will be awarded all the money that was collected in their jar.
So… Show your spirit and raise money for your prom!!

DO you like school so much that you’d like to hang out in one the rest of your life? Then here’s the perfect opportunity for you! The Texas Association of Future Educators (TAFE) would like to join us during the 2007-2008 school year. A meeting will be held on Tuesday to discuss Boo at the Zoo, t-shirts and the Literacy service project/ Join TAFE at either 7:45 am or 330 pm for an opportunity to be involved with others who want to make a difference.
