Senior girls Night
The senior class is sponsoring a special event for senior girls and their moms from 7-9pm on Tuesday Nov. 6 in the lecture hall. The meeting Theme is “Girls you Gotta Love Money from Manicures to Millionaire”. The Guest speaker is Robbie Courtney, Financial coaching for Life founder. For more info, see Nurse Amy.
COLLEGE NIGHT
Monday Nov.5th is college night. It is for juniors and seniors only and it is at the FAAC from 6-8. There will be over 80 different colleges, tech schools, etc.
Monday is college shirt day. All students and facility are encouraged to wear their favorite college shirt. Teachers may wear jeans on Monday if they have there college shirt on.
PEN SALES
Attention all senior students! The pen sale ends on Monday November 5th, to turn in all orders to Nurse Amy. Remember that selling 14 pens will earn you your first prom tickets, and selling 28 pens will earn you the 2nd free prom ticket. This money is going towards prom; our goal is $9,000! Don’t be afraid to ask anyone and everyone! Go sell those pens!

CROSS COUNTRY
Congratulations!!
To Blake Wilson and Stephanie Alvarez for qualifying for this weekends regional cross country meet in Lubbock.
Blake placed 6th in Friday’s district meet with a time of 16:15 and Stephanie placed 8th with a time of 12:33 to lead all hawk runners.
The JV girls team placed second overall; was led by district champion Olivia Albin.
Coach Brown would again like to thank all the runners who participated and made this a successful 2007 season.

LITERARY CRITICISM
Lit Crit will meet at Panera this Tuesday at 6:00
BHS THEATRE
The BHS Theatre Department’s Fall Show, “Metamorphoses,” will be Thursday, November 1 through Saturday, November 3rd at 7:30pm and Sunday, November 4 at 2pm.
The audience sits around a real pool that is on our BHS stage so specify if you want “splash zone” tickets or not. Tickets are available during lunches starting on Monday, from cast and crew, at the drama room at 3:45pm or at the door.
Prices are $5 for students in advance and $7 for adults in advance. Tickets will cost another $1 if purchases at the door.

Attention Students: there will be no costumes allowed for Halloween this week.

Big game this Friday in Springtown! The varsity football team will look to remain undefeated and atop of the district standings as they prepare to take down Pojo!
VOLLEYBALL NEWS
Congratulations to the Lady Hawks Volleyball for a wonderful season! They made it to the playoffs again but lost in 5 against Denton High on Friday night in a heartbreaker. Thanks for a great start to the school year ladies by your outstanding efforts and incredible work ethic!
BOWLING TEAM
There will be more tryouts today and Wednesday for the BHS Bowling Team. If you have not come to tryout you should! There are two coaches to help you and tryouts are at Brunswick Zone on Rufe Snow at 4pm. We hope to see you there!
BAND NEWS
The marching band and colorguard competed in Carrolton on Saturday for the rights to go to state. Congratulations on an outstanding effort and for being awarded an alternate’s position. We are proud of your hard work and for the way you represented BHS!
