SCHOLARHIP OPPORTUNITY 

Binion Elementary is giving a scholarship to a Birdville senior that attended Binion/Glenview Elementary.  Due date is April 28^th on the scholarship… see counseling office for details.   

NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY 

6 – 8 volunteers are needed to help with the Oak Crest Woman’s Club Pancake Breakfast on March 8^th.  Other March volunteer opportunities are posted outside C402.  Sign up today!  

MATH NEWS 

Congratulations to the BHS Calculus Bowl Team:  Kadin Norder, Meredith Shiflet, Gena Smith, Ty Borck, and Melinda White.  They placed 3^rd in preliminary rounds.  We are so proud of you! Also, there will be a Math Team meeting today at 3:30 in Mrs. (math) Martin’s room.  If you would like to compete at district, please plan to attend.   

ART NEWS 

This past weekend Art students competed in the VASE competition.  There are 20 students that are advancing to state in Houston.  The students that are going on to state are:  Heather Avary, Brent Bolt, Chelsea Cain, Cassidy Cope, Emma Haley, Brandi Johnson, Caitlyn Juarez, Melody Karsi, Syndi Levy, Shena Ly, Lauren North, Cameron Pybus, Carly Rastandeh, Alyssa Rawdon, Sarah Rollins, Alexander Seibel, Nicolas Stewart, Emiliano Tejada, Katie Waldrip, Nathan Woeber,  and Laura Young.  Congratulations and good luck at State!!!   

RAWKIN HAWKS 

All people interested in trying out for Rawkin Hawks – This is a reminder that applications are due by 3:30 this Friday to either Mr. Kern or Mr. Waldrip.  If you have any questions, please feel free to come by and ask.   

NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY 

If you would like to order a t-shirt, stop by Ms. Wilson’s room (C402) and add your name to the list.  No money is due now.  We will place the order next week.

Seniors… it’s that time of year, turn in your pictures for the senior slideshow.  Give your pictures to Samantha Smith, Nurse Amy, Channing Butler, Rebecca Steward, or any of your STUCO Officers.  If you want to be in the slide show turn your pictures in by Feb. 29^th.
