MARINES PULL-UP BAR DURING LUNCHES

The Marines will have their pull-up bar contest set up today during lunches for all students who want to participate.

CHEERLEADER/MASCOT TRYOUT INFORMATION

Are you interested in trying out for cheerleader or for Mo Hawk the mascot? All the information you need can be found on the BHS main webpage or the cheerleader webpage. Tryout packets will be due by March 14. We hope to see you at tryouts.

SENIORS DURING TAKS TEST NEXT WEDNESDAY

Next Wednesday, March 5th, the 9th, 10th, and 11th grades will be taking the ELA TAKS test.

Seniors do not have to report until 6th period on this as long as you are not re-testing for the Exit Level Test.

If there is any senior that needs to ride the bus to school that day, we need you to sign up with Mrs. Rippy in the C200 office in order for the Transportation Department to plan accordingly.

STOLEN ARTWORK

If anyone has any information about missing art work from outside the Art Labs in the hallway. Please see Coach Floyd or Mr. Wells if you have info.

CLINICAL ROTATIONS

Students interested in applying for the 2008-2009 Clinical Rotations class can pick up an application in room A307. You must be entering your junior or senior year to apply. Deadline for applications is March 14th.

MATH AND CALCULATOR TEAM

The math and calculator team will not have a practice meet this weekend. We will meet this coming Monday at 3:30 in Mrs. Martin’s room to cram for District

BIRDVILLE HOCKEY NEWS

The Birdville Hawks Hockey played in Duncanville last night and what a game.

Birdville Hawks Hockey defeated Grand Prairie / DeSoto 11 – 0, Yeah Hawks Hockey !

ANNOUNCEMENT FROM MS. SCOTT 

The students that meet with Mr. Stovall and Ms. Scott last week in regard to their special project need to give me their pizza order today at lunch.

JUNIOR AND SENIOR PLANNING BOARDS 

REMINDER TO THE JUNIOR AND SENIOR PLANNING BOARDS:  WE WILL NOT BE GOING TO THE WORTHINGTON HOTEL THIS AFTERNOON.  YOU WILL BE NOTIFIED WHEN IT IS RESCHEDULED.  

GOLDEN MOTION AWARDS 

Last Saturday Golden Motion competed in the DFW Crowd Pleasers Competition at Fossil Ridge High School. They competed strongly and received top awards—— here they are: Line Officers Awards: Super Sweepstakes – They scored a 95 or higher in all 3 dances Most Outstanding Officer Group – They scored the highest average for all three dances Best in Class – 1st place in Lyrical  Best in Class – 1st place in Hip-Hop 2nd Place in Jazz  Social Officers Award: Most Outstanding Social Officer Group 1st place in Social Officer Category Team Awards: Super Sweepstakes – They scored a 95 or higher in all 3 dances Best in Class – 1st place in Lyrical Best in Class – 1st place in High Kick 2nd place in Jazz 2nd Runner up for Most Outstanding Team  Soloist Award: Emily Grose, a Sophomore line member, was chosen as a Solo Finalist; she was 1 of the 10 finalists chosen out of 51 entries!  Please congratulate these young ladies as they competed very well on Saturday!!!!!
