If any senior has a scholarship that has been offered to them, whether they are going to use it or not, you need to please send a copy to Ms. Goodrich. This also applies to seniors who are going into the military and are receiving a GI Bill, etc. The counseling office will make a copy for them is they do not have access to a copier.

Who? Any BHS Athlete. When? May 15, 2008. Where? BHS Gym. Why? BHS requires a new physical every year. Cost? $10 Cash or Check. Come to the training room for paperwork or ask your coach!

GYMNASTICS – STATE MEET NEWS
Last week at the State Gymnastics Championships, Birdville gymnast Ryan Graf made a great showing by placing 11th in the all-around, pommel horse, parallel bars and high bar and missing event finals on 5 of the events by less 2 hundreths of a point.
Congratulations Ryan on representing your school and your district well.

AUTISM AWARENESS WEEK
Autism costs the nation over $90 billion per year, a figure expected to double in the next decade. Autism receives less than 5% of the research funding of many less prevalent childhood diseases. Boys are four times more likely than girls to have autism. There is no medical detection or cure for autism yet.

HAWKS HOCKEY AT STATE Tournament & Championship
The Hawks played in the High School State Tournament on Saturday defeating Houston Kingwood 4-0 Moving up to the next round playing Frisco with the Hawks winning 5-2 placing them to play in the State Championship Tournament on Sunday.
Hawks vs Colleyville, were 1 to 1 to the end going into overtime, Colleyville won 2-1.
Congratulations to our Hawks Hockey who came in 2nd in the State Hockey Championship.

It is that time of year when we all rally and run, or walk, for Sarah! BHS is in need of one more AED for the building, and the school with the highest participation WINS!!! They are only giving ONE AED away this year, so it is vitally important that we all sign up. There will be prizes for your teachers so, make sure your teacher’s name is on the top of the entry form and turn them into the clinci for credit. GYMNASTICS
After 2 long days of competition, the boys gymnastics team was able to qualify a team member to the State Championships in Garland.
Ryan Graf was Regional Champion on High Bar, 2nd on Vault 4th on Floor and the All-around.
Robert Enriquez missed qualifying for State by 2 tenths of a point on vault.
Other regional team members were Daniel Hughes, Zach Hughes and Evan Romrell.
