READY, SET, TEACH!

Attention applicants for Ready, Set, Teach!  If you have not turned in your application, please do so soon.  Be sure to sign up for an interview also.  Those of you who are interviewing, there have been some changes made on the interview schedule.  Please stop by A203 to confirm your interview or reschedule.  Because this course has a limited number of seats, be sure to stop by and pick up an application from A203 ASAP if you are considering adding this to next year’s schedule!

NO SCHOOL MONDAY… STAFF DEVELOPMENT FOR TEACHERS

PROM TICKET SALES

Next week, Tuesday, April 15th through Friday, April 18th in the front foyer before or after school only.  Cost is $75 each; no checks accepted.

In order to purchase a ticket, each student must show his/her BHS ID.  If your date is not a BHS student, a copy of his/her driver’s license must be presented at time of purchase.  If you want to reserve a table, you must have the full amount to pay for all 10 people at that time.  No exceptions.  You will vote for Prom King/Queen at time of ticket purchase.  Questions???  See Nurse Amy in the clinic.

GRADUATION ANNOUNCEMENTS

Seniors who had a zero balance to Herff Jones may check with Mrs. Rippy in C200 for your announcements — you must have owed no money.

HIGH ON LIFE

Tuesday, April 15th, 6 to 8pm, HOL will be hosting a coffee night in room B304.  Everyone is welcome!

YEARBOOK

Nick Wallis, Nathan Moore, John Stewart, Jasmine Johnson, Trey Shelton, Allison Laswell, Taylor Heaton… have you bought your yearbooks yet?  Because all of you are in the yearbook so make sure to buy yours by April 18th, which is the deadline for all yearbook sales.  You can either come to A400 or go to the Birdville High School homepage and purchase one.  They are only $70 a piece and well worth it!

MAKE-UP TIME ANNOUNCEMENT

Students in need of make up time need to start making up time either in after school d-hall (room A102) from 3:45 to 5:15pm or on Saturdays from 8am to 12pm in the Library.  The end of the year is drawing near.  Don’t put off making up your time any longer.  START NOW!!  If you have any questions about how much time you owe, check with your teachers or your assistant principal.

RUN FOR SARAH!

It is that time of year when we all rally and run, or walk, for Sarah!  BHS is in need of one more AED for the building, and the school with the highest participation WINS!!!  They are only giving ONE AED away this year, so it is vitally important that we all sign up.  There will be prizes for your teachers so, make sure your teacher’s name is on the top of the entry form and turn them into the clinci for credit.  The cost is $12 and we are all under the BHS Team (already stamped on the entry form for you, like you had a choice of any other team!).  Thanks for your help and support!

HAWKS HOCKEY TEAM

Congratulations to our Hawks Hockey team.  They have made it to State.     Competition will be this weekend at the Nytex Sports Centre.

We look forward to wrapping up the season with a great weekend of High

.
